Dealing With Siberian Husky Aggression

A Siberian Husky will exhibit aggression for one reason in most cases. If a Siberian husky is unsure of his place within the pack, he may exhibit aggressive behavior as an attempt to become dominant. The Siberian husky is by far happier when he is aware of his place in the pack than if he did not. In order to show your Siberian Husky his place within the hierarchy, you have to show him that you are alpha. Before you attempt to stop aggression, you need to establish yourself as the leader of the household first.

There are a couple of quick steps you can take to reduce aggression with your already aggressive Siberian Husky:
  • Identify the source of the aggression on what's driving your Siberian Husky aggressive
  • Remain out of his boundary and praise or reward your Siberian husky for remaining calm.
  • Slowing moving closer to the trigger and praising your Siberian husky if he remains calm
  • Positive reinforcement is an effective way to reduce aggression in Huskies.
Lastly if all things fail, try to attend a training session or consult a behaviorist who can help to acclimatize your Siberian husky to a social atmosphere.

Here's a handy guide on training your dog and other tips which I came across which might be helpful.
